At the Studienkolleg Sachsen, you can attend Schwerpunktkurse (focus courses) to prepare for your specialized studies. We offer a broad spectrum, from natural science courses to economics and social science courses as well as arts courses.

What is the FSP?

FSP is short for Feststellungsprüfung (assessment exam). All applicants who have an indirekte Hochschulzugangsberechtigung (HZB) (indirect university admission) must take the FSP before beginning their studies. You can take the Feststellungsprüfung exam either after completing external preparation or after taking a Schwerpunktkurs (focus course). These courses last for two semesters and attendance is free of charge at the Studienkolleg Sachsen. If you successfully pass the Feststellungsprüfung, you will fulfil the formal requirements for studying at a German university or university of applied sciences.

Courses offered: Schwerpunktkurse

Depending on the area of study you are aiming for, you will prepare for taking the Feststellungsprüfung by attending one of the Schwerpunktkurse. The assignment of the courses to the fields of study depends on the university to which you wish to apply.
